HIPPY Program

Because education begins at home, the SMART (Supporting Mothers, Learning, and Success for Toddlers) and HIPPY (Home Instruction for Parents of Preschool Youngsters) programs support parents and guide children toward academic and personal success from early childhood.

In partnership with Mothers Matter Canada, these programs are offered entirely in French and are primarily aimed at mothers, providing them with the tools needed to support their children’s cognitive, language, social, and motor development.

The SMART program is designed for families with children aged 18 to 36 months and is based on playful activities that promote early learning. The HIPPY program, intended for children aged 3 to 5 years, continues this educational support at home. Families can smoothly transition from SMART to HIPPY, ensuring continuity in the support provided.

Both programs are led by mothers, for mothers, through weekly one-hour home visits over a period of 30 weeks. Participants receive personalized support, free educational materials, and useful information throughout the year to support both their own integration and that of their child.

SMART and HIPPY promote the strengthening of parenting skills, the reduction of social isolation, community integration, and, in the long term, socio-professional integration. Families also have access to community resources, support networks, group activities, and socio-professional guidance, contributing to the development of confidence, independence, and parental engagement within their community.
